the whirlwind is gearing up again...

.
Just got back from seeing Sean Hannity... it was a nice evening, but entirely preaching to the choir. Still, it's nice to be in a LARGE room full of people who agree with you about what's important. Sara Evans did one set before Sean came on and she has a lovely voice. I think the kids would really like her songs, too, so I may see if I can pick up a CD of hers to play in the car. She's country. I've never considered buying a country CD before...

Before the show, we had a really nice dinner at P. F. Chang's. They have the best crispy orange peel beef, but it being Friday and Lent, I had to pass that by. However, the dinner we did have was in no way a disappointment nor could I honestly say I sacrificed anything. We had these astonishing crab wontons (all crab), kung pao scallops, and crispy orange peel shrimp. It was insanely good. Also, I got this delicious sweet ginger peach tea from Revolution Tea. It was so good I'm going to have to go and buy some; they have it AJ's and a few other places around town, so it shouldn't be too hard to track it down. I hope.

I got three emails from the guys I work with, so it looks like next week is shaping up to be busy busy busy. That's OK, I'm at the point where I want to get that work going again and make progress, and money! Hee. Been spending a lot, lately...

What else, what else -- I have this sense of a having a lot of things "hanging" now: my column, the kids' rooms situation, DD's furniture project... tomorrow, DH is going in the morning to get tix to the Dbacks-Yankees game in June, so I'll have the kiddos for breakfast. In the afternoon, a spring fair at one school, and in the evening, silent auction at the other. Too much going on!

Oh, and our garage door opener appears to be broken. Bummer. Also, PITA. I have to look into getting it fixed. ***sigh***

I love evenings like this with DH. We talk mostly about the future, personal and political stuff. I really like that we have so much to talk about and it doesn't always revolve around the kids, although they are constantly coming up, of course -- the point is, we have our own life together that doesn't rely on the fact that we have kids to keep us together. It's cool.
