rats

My digital camera is dead. I replaced the batteries this morning after recharging them, and now the LED never lights up. Photos taken through the viewfinder are completely black. I called the camera repair shop and the man there confirmed my fears: it's either the LED assembly or the shutter assembly, and neither repair would be inexpensive.

I'll probably be getting another Canon, but this time I'll probably go for the extended warranty! I guess I know what I'm getting for Mother's Day...

a broken camera is an opportunity for an upgrade -- is the way I see it.

Joan, I was checking out an old entry of yours that contained the phrase "Moms Online", that wonderful old site. Kath and her brother Rob, who created MOL, have just started a new site if you are interested (www.momsworld.com). I read in your entry that you said you "moved on", as did I. I've only been to the new site a handful of times but realize that after all the years that Moms Online has been gone, I am no longer where I need the community. There it is anyway. If you aren't interested, maybe you still know a few of the old people that still "need" it.

By all means upgrade! I have a clunky digital camera that works fine right now, but there are cameras now that are so sleek and wonderful that I almost wish mine would break! LOL
