every little soul's got to shine

Today was another hectic day (not as bad as yesterday), with another trip up to Phoenix in the morning, school pickups, and swimming lessons -- followed immediately by DD's kindergarden graduation.

After the brief ceremony, which was a charming blend of chaos and enthusiasm, we went up to Flancer's for dinner -- one restaurant where I know I can stay on the LID if I choose wisely.

On the way home, we had Ralph Covert's The Amazing Adventures of Kid Astro in the CD player, and "Mr. Rabbit" came on -- the perfect soundtrack to end the day.(click to hear it):

Every little soul's got to shine, shine --
Every little soul's got to shine along.

P.S.

I have the most gorgeous family in the entire world...

and I let DS2 take a picture of me, too.

I wish I could figure out how to make the small versions of the photos look better. The full-size photos look great (click to see them in separate windows.) If you have any suggestions, please let me know... I am so ignorant about photography stuff.

Your daughter's eyes are simply breathtaking. I mean BREATHTAKING. Your boys are adorable too.

Your husband has the longest eyelashes!!!!

I'm biased, and I know this can't possibly be factually true, but I still think my husband is the most handsome man I have ever seen. (swoon)

Now everyone can see where my kids get their good looks from! :)

According to the EXIF data on the picture, it was taken with a Canon Powershot A70 @ F 2.8, 1/60 of a second shutter speed @ 5.4 mm focal length resulting in a 1454X970 picture with 241,112 distinct colors ending in a file that is 419 Kb.

MMMUUAAAWWWAAAHHHHAAAA!!!!

Ahem...sorry.

You need to look at your menu screen and do the following:

Find the menu item on the camera that reduces picture size - decrease it to 640X480 and decrease the color density if you can - otherwise, just the 640X480 format is sufficient for almost everything. Your picture is way too large to properly condense without some expensive software.

By the way on that little post thing you commented on last night, feel free to cross post it to those yahoos we discussed if you feel it's worth it.

By the way, I agree with chaitime - DD's eyes are gorgeous. She's a real charmer.
